How much do ceramic coating packages cost in Arnold, MO?

Our starting prices are $499 for the 9-month Renew spray coating, $899 for the three-year Crystal package, $1,249 for five-year Pro+ and $1,750 for seven-year Max G. We confirm vehicle-specific preparation, products and the final quote before work starts.

These are our shop's package options, not a claim that every similarly named manufacturer's product carries an identical warranty. Ask what is included, what preparation your paint needs, and which written care and warranty terms apply. Compare the complete scope rather than the number of years alone.

Are wheels, glass and trim included in a ceramic coating package?

Yes. Every STL Auto Defenders ceramic coating option includes paint, wheel faces, glass and exterior trim. We do not charge separate add-ons for those standard surfaces.

Wheel faces are different from full wheel barrels. Our separate wheels-off option starts at $399: we remove the wheels, clean and prepare them along with calipers and suspension, and apply the specified coating to the front and back of the wheels, including barrels, plus the agreed caliper and suspension surfaces.

Does a brand-new car need preparation before ceramic coating?

Yes. New paint still needs inspection and cleaning, and some new cars have minor defects or bonded contamination. We analyze the finish before deciding what correction is necessary; new does not automatically mean defect-free.

Our preparation includes paint analysis, a complete contact wash, specialized iron decontamination and rinse, clay treatment to remove remaining bonded contamination, and the appropriate correction. We then use a no-contact wash to remove dust and polishing residues, dry the vehicle, and use panel prep before coating. The correction scope is confirmed after analysis.

Is paint correction the same as ceramic coating?

No. Paint correction improves suitable imperfections through controlled compounding and polishing. Ceramic coating is applied afterward to the prepared surface; it does not remove scratches or hide poor finishing.

We inspect under bright lights for swirls, haze and polishing holograms that softer indoor light can miss. Deep scratches, chips and failed clear coat cannot always be safely corrected. Standalone paint correction starts at a $399 minimum and is quoted by condition. Our paint correction service page explains this work separately so you can understand what the finish needs.

Will ceramic coating prevent rock chips and scratches?

No. A coating is not a chip barrier or a scratch-proof finish. Careful washing remains important. For protection from road debris and minor abrasion on vulnerable panels, consider PPF.

We apply and level coating panel by panel to avoid high spots. That finishing work matters to appearance, but it cannot turn a thin surface treatment into impact armor. Combining PPF with coating can address different needs without confusing their purposes.

How long does ceramic coating last?

Longevity depends on the selected product, preparation, exposure and maintenance. Our package terms range from a 9-month spray option to multi-year professional packages; confirm the exact written terms and any inspection requirements.

A duration label is not permission to neglect the vehicle. Regular care and appropriate products matter. Changes in water beading can also reflect contamination rather than proving the coating has disappeared; contact us for assessment instead of immediately polishing it off.

Can I wash a ceramic-coated car or use an automatic car wash?

Yes, coated vehicles still need washing. Follow the initial no-wash period and aftercare instructions for your product. Use a careful hand-wash routine; avoid brush washes and abrasive materials.

System X advises gentle cleaning, pH-neutral soap, clean microfiber materials, washing in shade and complete drying. Its published guidance says not to wash for the first two weeks and describes annual inspections for warranty care. Follow the instructions supplied for your exact installation. Touchless washes avoid brush contact, but detergent choice still matters.

Can ceramic coating get water spots, and what should I do?

Yes. Minerals can remain when water dries, even on a hydrophobic surface. Dry the vehicle after washing and address bird droppings or other contamination promptly using the supplied care guidance.

Do not scrub a mark or use aggressive polishing products without advice. Send a photo and tell us which wash products you used. Coating supports maintenance; it does not mean rain, hard water and contamination can never leave deposits.
