Should I ceramic coat the car before booking PPF?

Talk with the film installer first. A coating already on a panel can change the preparation needed for film adhesion. Booking the film and coating as a coordinated plan helps avoid paying for work that later needs to be repeated.

Tell us which coating or spray product was applied, when it was applied and which panels were treated. Do not attempt aggressive polishing or chemical removal yourself. We inspect the surface and choose preparation appropriate to the paint and the planned film.

Does paint correction always come before film?

Paint condition is assessed before protection, but the correction scope is selected for the actual surface and coverage. Do not assume every new car needs the same polishing or that film will repair chips and deep scratches.

Existing damage, refinished panels and failing clear coat need discussion before installation. Correction improves suitable defects in the finish; touch-up and bodywork address different problems. We agree on the preparation before covering a panel or applying a coating.

Do vinyl graphics go under or over PPF?

That decision needs the exact graphic, vinyl, PPF and surface layout. Graphics can introduce edges and height changes, while adding another film layer can affect appearance and removal. We review compatibility and the desired result before deciding the order.

Send pictures or the design before either installer starts. Explain whether the graphics are intended to be changed later and which panels need chip protection. We can identify the coverage boundaries rather than promising that every combination can be made seamless.

Can a ceramic coating be applied over the finished PPF?

A suitable compatible coating can be used on film, with the preparation, timing and care matched to the specific combination. Confirm the product before application. Coating adds a surface-care benefit; it does not make the film immune to impact damage.

Coated film and uncovered painted panels are different surfaces. The quote should identify what receives which product. Follow the supplied cure and wash instructions instead of assuming the timing for one layer automatically applies to every material on the vehicle.

Can I combine a black roof, front-end PPF and coating?

Potentially, yes. Treat the roof appearance, front-end chip protection and surface maintenance as three parts of one plan. We review the roof material, film coverage, paint condition and coating compatibility before quoting.

Keep a written panel list. Full Front PPF at our shop includes the full hood, full front fenders, front bumper, headlights and mirror caps. Roof wrapping and any expanded PPF coverage need their own agreed scope. Window tint is another separate service with its own glass preparation.

What should I send before a combined protection appointment?

Send your year, make, model, desired services and clear photos. Include existing graphics, wraps, coatings, chips, scratches and any repaint history. These details let us plan the preparation and coverage before you drop off.

Our typical PPF process takes two to three days, with the final timing confirmed for the job. A combined project may need a different schedule. Customers traveling from Imperial, Barnhart, Oakville or Fenton should confirm drop-off and collection arrangements before setting out.
