Protect the paint. Preserve the Shelby’s character.
The goal for this Shelby was straightforward: add protection against rock chips while keeping the appearance that makes the car stand out. Its black vinyl graphics and Cobra fender emblems were part of the plan from the start.
We combined a custom Full Front PPF installation with additional Track Pack coverage on selected lower and forward-facing surfaces. Clear film adds a physical barrier over the covered paint, helping reduce damage from road debris while allowing the red finish to show through.
The details define a high-end custom PPF installation
This installation called for more than applying a standard pattern. We carefully scored the PPF along the vinyl graphic, then tore away the excess film from over the graphic. That left the vinyl uncovered while protecting the surrounding painted surfaces.
The time-lapse below shows that controlled scoring and separation in progress. Following the graphic’s shape and creating a clean film boundary takes time, a steady hand and careful attention to how the finished installation will look up close.
These details matter on a high-end custom PPF installation. The value is in the fitting and finishing as well as the film: respecting the vehicle’s graphics, preserving its original emblems and giving each coverage boundary the attention it needs.

This time-lapse shows Kris scoring the PPF and tearing away the excess film from over the vinyl graphic, leaving the graphic uncovered. Runtime: 58 seconds.
Original Cobra emblems, carefully preserved
The fender badges received the same attention as the film. We carefully removed the Cobra emblems, retained the original factory pieces and prepared them with fresh mounting tape before reinstalling them over the finished PPF.
The photos below show the emblem faces, the re-taped backs and a Cobra badge back on the car. Preserving those original details was part of completing the protection without changing the Shelby’s character.

Track Pack protection beyond the front end
The added Track Pack coverage on this car included the lower skirts, lower doors, A-pillars and the leading edge of the roof. These additions extended protection beyond the front end to other exposed painted areas.
Track Pack coverage should be planned for the individual vehicle. Your driving habits, bodywork and graphics all affect the coverage that makes sense. We confirm the selected panels and film boundaries with you before installation.
The finished Shelby, ready for the road
The completed project brings the details together: custom film around the graphics, original Cobra badges back in place and added protection on the selected high-impact areas. The result keeps the Shelby’s familiar appearance while helping defend the covered paint.
